Speaking on this occasion, the Moroccan ambassador in Cairo and permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ahmed Tazi, stressed that the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Mourchidines and Mourchidates (Religious Preachers), operates according to a holistic approach that focuses on the constant values of the Islamic religion and preserves its original identity based on tolerance and the middle way.
He added that the institute, which is one of the cornerstones of the integrated, comprehensive and multidimensional strategy for the rehabilitation of religious values in Morocco, contributes to integrating the dimension of continuous training of religious leaders and emphasizes the importance of communication with different groups of society.
Tazi also mentioned the strengthening of the role of the Supreme Council of Ulema, as a constitutional institution, under the leadership of the Commander of the Faithful, explaining that this independent institution is responsible for issuing fatwas when there is an urgent need according to specific standards.
