This increase is explained by the rise notably in prices of "Chemical industry" of 9.2%, "Food industry" (0.7%), "Automotive industry" (2.2%), "Clothing industry" (1.2%) and "Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products" (0.5%), said the HCP in its recent information note on the index of producer prices in industry, energy and mining (IPPIEM).
This note also reported a decline in prices of the "Furniture Manufacturing" of 0.6% and "Paper and cardboard industry" of 0.1%.
On the other hand, the producer price indices for "Mining and quarrying", "Production and distribution of electricity" and "Production and distribution of water" have stagnated during January 2022.
