This convention seeks to strengthen and intensify the consultations with the three countries in addition to the United States of America in the cultural and sports field, in accordance with the tripartite agreement signed between Morocco, Israel and the United States, said a statement from the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication.
This agreement also provides for the development of partnerships, the holding of consultative meetings and exchange of experiences in the cultural field between the countries concerned, in addition to organizing joint sporting and cultural events, according to the same source.
In addition, the convention includes support for the cultural industry and the exchange of opportunities and services between Morocco, Israel, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and the US.
The agreement was initialed by Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Culture and Youth of the United Arab Emirates, Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Youth and Sports of Bahrain, Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, and Israeli Minister of Culture and Sports, Hili Tropper,
According to a joint statement of the signatories of this Convention, the signing stems from the awareness of the stakeholders about the importance of the role of culture in intersectoral cooperation and in strengthening ties between peoples through culture and sport, in addition to its role in creating a conducive climate allowing the interaction between young people and a better understanding.
The signing of this agreement is also part of the dynamics of multi-faceted cooperation demonstrated by the relations between the signatory countries in many areas, including culture and sport, taking in consideration the role they can play in achieving economic development as a catalyst for sustainable development.
