The sporting event, held under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, will see a massive participation of Moroccan athletes," Mohamed Knidri, president of the International Marrakech Marathon, said at a press briefing dedicated to the presentation of this edition.
The 32nd edition of the marathon will be an opportunity for all Moroccan runners to achieve a good qualifying time for the next world championship, he said.
Several international runners including Ethiopia's Endeshaw Negesse, Kenya's Stephan Chamlany and Julius Kiprono Tarus are expected to take part in the event. In the women's category, the marathon will feature Ethiopia's Mulu Seboka and Kenya's Margaret Agai.
