Royal Navy Foils Drug Trafficking Operation Off Tangier, Seizes 1.5 Tonne of Drugs
Rabat - A Royal Navy coastguard on maritime patrol in the Mediterranean on Friday aborted a drug trafficking operation after chasing a fast boat off the coast of Tangier, said a military source.
The operation led to the seizure of 1.5 tonne of drugs, which were transported to the port of Tangier and handed over to the local Royal Gendarmerie for investigation and procedures, the source added.
