The agreement was signed in Rabat by MAP's Director General, Mr. Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, and the Executive Chairman of Europa Press, Asis Martin De Cabiedes.
The media partnership motivated by "strategic sustainability" focuses on the exchange of news in Spanish published via the internet and on the various platforms of the two agencies, including infographics, photography, podcasts and data.
It is also about exchanging visits and organizing training courses for executives of the two agencies in the journalistic, technical and administrative areas.
This agreement, which is a "real opportunity" for MAP and Europa Press, paves the way for an exchange of media content in Spanish and expertise between professionals from the two agencies, said Mr. Hachimi Idrissi on this occasion.
To this end, he recalled that the richness and linguistic diversity of the content of MAP strengthens the place of the agency in the field of information as a public center which deploys a diversity of professional means.
For his part, Mr. De Cabiedes stressed that this partnership paves the way for a deeper content exchange.
He noted that this agreement promotes the dissemination of reliable information between the two agencies and seeks to fight against attempts at disinformation and fake news.
Welcoming the promising prospects for renewed relations between Morocco and Spain at different levels, Mr. De Cabiedes highlighted the importance of this agreement in the area of information, which contributes to strengthening links between the peoples of the two countries, in addition to its strategic value in terms of the exchange of reliable information.
This "solid" agreement establishes a link between the two agencies, said the executive chairman of Europa Press in a statement to "M24", MAP's continuous news channel, adding that it shows the importance of information in strengthening relations between the peoples of the two countries.
"The bonds of friendship have always prevailed" between Morocco and Spain, he pointed out.
