Some 1,100 families from 15 villages, located near the areas affected by the wildfires, were evacuated to preserve the population's safety and prevent any potential risk, according to the same source.
The local authorities reported one death, adding that 900 hectares of land had been hit by the flames, which spread to some homes.
On Thursday, a provisional assessment by local authorities reported that wildfires destroyed 800 hectares of forest cover, mainly conifers and secondary plant species.
According to the same source, ground intervention teams, consisting of hundreds of members of the Royal Armed Forces, the Gendarmerie Royale, the Auxiliary Forces, the Civil Protection, water and forestry services, security authorities and volunteers, were mobilized, supported by fire tanker trucks, ambulances, and four Canadair planes.
