On a working visit to Morocco, Frej and the delegation accompanying him were welcomed in an atmosphere of friendliness and fraternity at the emblematic space Dar Souiri, by the president of the Communal Council of Essaouira, Tarik Ottmani, in the presence of HM the King's Advisor and president-founder of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, André Azoulay, and other local actors.
Speaking on this occasion, Frej commended the warm welcome he received in this city, highlighting the plural identity of the Kingdom with multiple tributaries (Arab, Amazigh, Jewish, Andalusian ...), and whose roots have been irrigated by the streams of multiculturalism.
He highlighted the uniqueness of the Moroccan model of coexistence and convergence of religions, which reflects, he explained, the wisdom and enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Stressing that all monotheistic religions are at the service of humanity, Frej concluded by expressing his immense joy at this invitation that allowed him to discover this symbolic city, whose reputation has exceeded national borders.
For his part, Ottmani welcomed the visit of Frej to Essaouira, a city steeped in history and an eloquent symbol of living together and openness par excellence.
In a welcoming speech, Ottmani, also executive chairman of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, took the opportunity to praise the resumption of Moroccan-Israeli relations, which opens wide prospects for constructive and innovative cooperation between the two countries and this, in the service of the Moroccan and Israeli peoples.
Noting that the many fruitful talks and meetings that Frej had with senior Moroccan officials will deepen and strengthen ties between the two countries, through joint projects in various areas of development, Ottmani expressed the full readiness of the local council of Essaouira for the establishment of partnerships, the signing of twinning agreements and the implementation of joint projects to contribute to the consolidation of this cooperation between the two countries.
