During this audience, Her Royal Highness, President of the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child, highlighted the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to promote children's rights over the past two decades, which has been translated into various reforms, mechanisms and instruments for the protection of children, as well as the adoption of integrated public policies.
Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem reiterated the readiness the Kingdom of Morocco to back and support the initiatives and projects of the United Nations to consolidate the rights of the child.
Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem also addressed the historical, indisputable and fundamental role of the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child, placed under Her effective presidency, as a catalyst and federator of initiatives for the promotion and consolidation of children's rights in Morocco.
Najat Maalla M'jid then presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem the working strategy deployed by the UN agency in various countries and expressed her strong will to consolidate the cooperation of the United Nations with the Kingdom of Morocco in the field of child protection.
