After highlighting the actions and projects carried out in the field of child protection and the promotion of the fundamental rights of children in precarious situations, particularly those deprived of their family environment, His Highness called on all actors and parties concerned in the social field to make the necessary efforts to increase the capacity of the structures of reception and care for these children, located in the various regions of the Kingdom, and to give a boost to early childhood education, said a statement from the League.
His Highness also thanked all the partners and donors for their support and backing for the various projects and activities of the League, as well as all the social actors and volunteers working for the promotion of children, adds the same source.
After a general debate, focused on the various achievements and the League's strategic program for the coming years, the members of the General Assembly unanimously approved the moral and financial report, as well as the accounts for the year ending December 31, 2021, and the corresponding resolutions, the communiqué specifies.
On this occasion, the same source underlines that the members of the General Assembly strongly welcomed the efforts made continuously by His Highness in the various fields related to the improvement of the conditions of care for children in difficult situations, especially those with disabilities, while reiterating their full commitment to contribute to the achievement of the planned objectives, in accordance with the high orientations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at the consecration of the fundamental rights of the child.
At the end of this Assembly, several recommendations were approved, particularly the implementation of the League's strategic program for 2022-2025 in partnership and cooperation with the various partners, the establishment of a unified information system, adapted to the needs and structures of the League at the central and regional levels, and the extension of the activities of the mother and child cell to other child protection centers under the League (temporary shelter for children and mothers in distress).
The other recommendations approved by the Assembly concern the participation in the reflection workshops, aimed at revising the Family Code and the Kafala law for children separated from their family environment, the approval of the agreements signed with the various ministerial departments and social actors and the approval of the good governance mechanisms, aimed at implementing the financial and accounting management procedures at the level of the League's offices and institutions, in accordance with the regulations in force, concludes the statement.
