This meeting, which will take place at MAP headquarters in Rabat from 09:00 am, will shed light on the role of the Royal Archives Directorate (DAR) in preserving, digitizing and cataloguing the royal archives, a mission that is done according to the standards in force within the major archive institutions in the world.
MAP Forum will also focus on the DAR contribution to enrichment of scientific research and animation of historical production, through organizing exhibitions at the national and international levels and producing documentaries.
Director of the Royal Archives since 2008, Bahija Simou is a member of several commissions and foundations, such as the Scientific Committee of the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Zones, the Moroccan Commission for Military History and the Moroccan Association for Historical Research.
A university professor of modern history, Simou is the author of several publications in Arabic and French, as well as a series of scientific activities and contributions to international conferences.
The Forum will be broadcast live on "M24" and "RIM-Radio", MAP's 24-hour news channel and its news radio, as well as via MAP-Live, on the Agency's website "mapexpress.ma" and its Facebook account.
