Saudi media revealed the details of the tragic bus accident. According to them, the tragedy occurred on the link Aqaba Shaar between the city of Abha and the governorate of Muhayil Asir, where the mountain roads of the province are called Aqaba, derived from the difficulty of the narrow road opened in the mountains through tunnels and bridges, as well as deep slopes.
The bus, which was carrying about 50 passengers, overturned while crossing the Aqaba Shaar road, which is about 14 kilometers long, due to a malfunction in the bus's brakes, according to initial reports.
The accident caused the bus to fall down a slight slope on the side of the road and catch fire before Civil Defense teams, ambulances and firefighters arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire and rescuing the passengers.
