Morocco is an important partner for China in the Arab world and Africa, with friendly communication between the Chinese and Moroccan peoples rooted in history, writes the Chinese president in the message.

"In recent years, relations between the two countries have continued to develop at a high level under our joint leadership, with mutual political trust strengthened and practical cooperation in all fields accomplishing considerable achievements," President Xi Jinping stresses, adding that "the two countries have maintained close communication, coordination and collaboration on international and regional issues."

The Chinese President said he attached great importance to the development of bilateral relations, expressing his willingness to work together with HM the King to further develop the historical ties linking the two countries, and to continually consolidate the foundations of the Sino-Moroccan strategic partnership, in light of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, so as to better serve the interests of both peoples.
