More than 250 athletes representing around forty countries will compete in this continental sporting event, the Moroccan Royal Federation of Judo and Assimilated Martial Arts said.
Ahead of these championships, the African Judo Union will organize an international seminar for referees and coaches to obtain the international referee license. The Union will also hold its ordinary congress in Casablanca.
The event, which commemorates the 60th anniversary of the creation of the African Judo Union, constitutes an important venue for African judokas to clinch their qualification for the Paris-2024 Olympic Games.
