"Ismael Saibari has signed a new five-year contract that will keep him at PSV until the summer of 2028. The attacking midfielder was promoted to the senior team last season and quickly established himself as a regular in the first team," stated the Dutch club on its website.
PSV emphasized that Saibari "has made significant progress and has become a versatile player capable of performing in various positions." They noted that the Moroccan player was promoted to the first team during the 2022-2023 season and initially played as a winger before transitioning to an attacking midfielder under the guidance of coach Peter Bosz.
Saibari expressed his enthusiasm for the trust the club has shown in him, saying, "I've gained a wealth of experience in recent years, which has shaped me into the player I am today. I'm eager to contribute to achieving the goals of this outstanding club."
PSV also highlighted that Saibari's outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed. The 22-year-old has received a call-up to Morocco's U23 squad, with whom he was crowned Africa’s U23 champions.
The Terrassa native was selected for Morocco's national A-team and made his debut in an international friendly against Burkina Faso on September 12, 2023.
