"We were all very moved and extremely impressed by Morocco's resilience in the aftermath of this terrible earthquake," he told MAP on the occasion of his participation in the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
"Holding the Annual Meetings in Marrakech is an opportunity for us to show our solidarity with this dynamic country - and to strengthen our partnership", underlined Hoyer, noting that in coordination with the European Union delegation in Morocco, the EIB is ready to mobilize its expertise and resources to "support the priorities identified by the Moroccan authorities following the quake".
The EIB President pointed out that the partnership with Morocco "is based on trust, which is why we have been able to carry out major projects with investments of over 9.5 billion euros, whether to support the country's ambitious green transition or projects to boost health and education".
