The talks took place on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which bring together finance ministers and central bank governors from 190 countries until October 15.
Bourita held talks with Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, US Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schultze, Danish Minister for Development Cooperation and Climate Policy, Dan Jorgensen, and Swedish Finance Minister, Elisabeth Svantesson.
During the meetings, Bourita and his interlocutors reviewed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, reaffirming their willingness to continue to strengthen these relations.
Foreign officials expressed their deep condolences following the earthquake in Al Haouz, and voiced their solidarity and support for Morocco in coping with the effects of this natural disaster.
In this respect, they praised the multidimensional approach adopted by the Moroccan authorities, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to overcome the impact of the quake.
