The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), was an opportunity for the OECD top executive to commend the reform efforts undertaken by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in various economic and social fields.
The OECD Secretary-General also praised the Kingdom's hospitality and resilience in the aftermath of the earthquake in Al Haouz Province while taking note of the rebuilding efforts undertaken under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Morocco and the OECD also expressed their satisfaction with the quality of their bilateral relations, which have resulted in the implementation of two Country Programs.
Coordinated by the Department of the Head of Government, the second country program, which is currently implemented, aims to strengthen ties between the Kingdom and this institution and share best practices in various fields.
Talks also focused on opportunities for closer collaboration in several economic fields, notably in connection with the launch of the Economic Bureau and the publication of the Kingdom of Morocco's first economic study, scheduled for release before the end of 2023.
