"All participants were impressed by the quality of the organization and by the legendary hospitality of the Moroccan people," said Tarsim in an interview with MAP on the sidelines of the annual meetings.
"Morocco's attractiveness is today a reality and a source of inspiration for many other African countries," stressed Tarsim, noting that over the past 20 years Morocco has succeeded in combining the difficult equation of investing in infrastructure, putting people at the center of intervention while maintaining budgetary discipline.
He pointed out that the return of the WB-IMF Annual Meetings to Africa is both natural and significant for Morocco, which is showing other African countries that, with a clear vision and capacity in terms of resources, the road to emergence can be a reality.
"We believe that Africa is the land of the future, despite the constraints and challenges facing the continent, particularly in terms of access to energy, food security and youth unemployment," he said, stressing that the continent is the land of youth, of potential in terms of agriculture and renewable energy.
"This is a very important signal, which was recalled in the message addressed by HM King Mohammed VI to the participants in these meetings", he noted.
