The event will showcase Moroccan gastronomy and provide an opportunity to discover and taste local products and typical dishes from the Kingdom, according to Grupo Gourmets, the event's primary organizer.
On this occasion, the five pavilions of the renowned Madrid Fair will be transformed into a "space of exotic flavors and aromas to showcase Morocco's rich gastronomic culture, the result of the historical influences of various countries in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East."
The Moroccan pavilion, to be set up by Morocco Foodex (an autonomous export control and coordination body), will cover a 300 m² area and present the Kingdom's ancestral culinary tradition in various forms to the more than 100,000 trade visitors who come from all over the world every year.
The Gourmets Fair (Salón Gourmets) is regarded as Europe's most extensive event exclusively dedicated to delicatessen products and one of the world's largest showcases for food.
The event is exclusively aimed at national and international professionals from the hotel, restaurant, food and beverage distribution, catering, and specialty retail sectors. The previous edition of the fair welcomed 116,257 visitors and featured 2,014 exhibitors, marking it as the "best ever."
In 2023, the show presented 55,000 products and 1,500 novelties and it offered 1,200 activities, with an estimated business volume of 200 million euros.
