The DGM's orange vigilance weather alert bulletin states that the provinces of Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Tangier-Assilah, Tetouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, Ouezzane, and Chefchaouen will experience heavy rain (35-75mm) from 6 p.m. on Thursday to 3 a.m. on Friday.
A similar phenomenon (25-35 mm) will affect the provinces of Fez, Meknes, Taza, El Hajeb, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Al Hoceima, Rabat, Kenitra, Sale, and Skhirate-Temara from 10 p.m. on Thursday to 10AM on Friday.
The provinces of Ifrane, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, and Al Haouz will experience heavy rain (25-35 mm) from midnight to 10 a.m. on Friday.
On another note, strong wind gusts with local dust blowing (80 to 100 km/h) are expected on Thursday from 12 PM to 11 p.m. in the provinces of Tetouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Tangier-Assilah, Chefchaouen, and Al Hoceima.
A similar phenomenon (70 to 75 km/h) is forecast for Thursday from 12 p.m. to midnight in the provinces of Kenitra, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Sale, Rabat, Skhirate-Temara, Mohammedia, Benslimane, Nouaceur, Mediouna, Sidi Bennour, El Jadida, Casablanca, Berrechid, Safi, Khemisset, Nador, Berkane, Driouch, El Hajeb, Moulay Yacoub, Taza, Fez, Ifrane, Sefrou, Taounate, Meknes, and Khenifra.
The provinces of Ouarzazate, Midelt, Boulemane, Taza, Ifrane, Guercif, and Nador will also be affected by these strong gusts of wind with local dust blowing (70 to 80 km/h) from 12 p.m. on Thursday to 4 p.m. on Friday.
Finally, a similar phenomenon will be recorded on Friday from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the provinces of Figuig, Tinghir, and Errachidia.
