Opening of Judicial Investigation After Death of One Person Following Projectile Firing in Es-Smara (Press release)

Laayoune - The King's Attorney General at the Laâyoune Court of Appeal announced that the competent judicial police have been tasked with carrying out a judicial investigation after the death of one person and the injury of three others, following the firing of projectiles at residential areas in the town of Es-Smara.

The King's Attorney General at the Laâyoune Court of Appeal pointed out, in a press release, that he entrusted the investigation team with carrying out the necessary technical and ballistic expertise in order to identify the origin and the nature of the projectiles which caused the death of one person and the injury of three others, including two in serious condition, who were carried to the Laâyoune military hospital to receive the necessary care.

The same source said that the King's Attorney General at the Laâyoune Court of Appeal will ensure to establish the appropriate legal effects in light of the results of the investigation.
