This is a well thought through targeted program that looks at the most vulnerable members of society, by integrating them into the collective effort to build a society “that leaves no one behind”, the president of the Washington DC-based think tank told MAP.
Such a solid and comprehensive welfare system is laudable for it allows these categories to overcome social vulnerabilities, improve their living conditions and assume a more active role in the development process, he added.
The American analyst also noted that the direct social assistance program stands out for its forward-looking vision which places children at the heart of priorities, helping them to continue their education without difficulty and to project themselves into the future by assuming a “productive” role in society.
“To me this is a very important feature of these new norms” that HM King Mohammed VI introduces, he said, adding that Morocco shows that it is a "modern, advanced society that is working to take care of everybody".
