During the meeting, which took place on the occasion of Hayar's participation in an international symposium on "the promotion of women's rights and empowerment", held on the initiative of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the two parties exchanged views on their respective strategies concerning women and the family.
They also expressed their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in this field, through the drafting of a memorandum of understanding.
On this occasion, Mme Hayar invited the Azerbaijani official to pay a visit to Morocco.
Speaking on Monday at the NAM international symposium, the Minister reaffirmed Morocco's commitment to promoting women's rights and empowerment.
"The Kingdom of Morocco is committed with will and determination to honor its international and regional obligations related to the promotion of women's rights and their empowerment, and to strengthen cooperation and joint action to open up promising new horizons, in order to enable women to contribute fully to sustainable development," she had said at the meeting, co-organized by Azerbaijan, NAM current chair, as well as Uganda and Uzbekistan, the organization's next chairs.
