Royal Navy Assists 76 Sub-Saharan Migrants
Rabat - A Royal Navy unit intercepted, on Thursday 115 km Southwest of Laâyoune, an inflatable boat with 76 Sub-Saharan irregular migrants onboard, including 15 women and 3 minors, according to a military source.
The rescued migrants, who were heading to the Canary Islands, received the necessary medical care before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie in Laâyoune port for the usual administrative procedures, the same source pointed out.
