In a statement to MAP on the occasion of the 20th Marrakech International Film Festival, held from November 24 to December 2, Khouna emphasized the importance of this culture of specialization that is beginning to take root in the industry. This culture allows for a deep understanding of the target audience while promoting controlled growth of distributed films.
Khouna, also an expert in film distribution, observed that the sector now covers a wide range of Moroccan and foreign productions, including films d'auteur, educational films, and ecological films. He explained that distribution is a process aimed at protecting both distributors and operators.
Furthermore, the official noted that the cinematic landscape is evolving with significant projects that have propelled Moroccan cinema to new heights. He applauded the growing success of Moroccan films, which the audience can easily identify with, and the emergence of a genuine animated production industry that is gradually finding its place in the country.
In the same context, Khouna praised the reopening of several cinemas throughout the Kingdom, a measure that will contribute to expanding the circle of cinephiles and promoting national film production.
