Choubki, who was speaking at a meeting held to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, also welcomed the content of the "strong Message" sent by HM King Mohammed VI to the Chairman of the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, Sheikh Niang, noting that the Sovereign reiterated in this Message the Kingdom's constant support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
The Palestinian diplomat also recalled HM King Mohammed VI's speech to the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, in which the Sovereign stressed that there is no alternative to real peace in the region, guaranteeing Palestinians their legitimate rights within the framework of the two-State solution.
Choubki also pointed out that Morocco hosted the 1974 Arab Summit, during which Arab countries first recognized the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinians.
He also praised the role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency in protecting Arab and Islamic rights in the Holy City and strengthening the resilience of its inhabitants by funding programs and projects in various sectors.
