"From the beginning of hostilities and the suffering observed and experienced by the population, His Majesty the King immediately engaged in both diplomatic and humanitarian efforts," added Heydt in a statement to MAP.
He noted that this humanitarian operation is the result of the "wise and far-sighted leadership of His Majesty the King, a leadership driven by a vision of peace and focused on effective and concrete support for the Palestinian populations and their cause."
Through the unprecedented deployment of this humanitarian aid, "it is the hand of the Moroccan heart that stands out distinctly from the geopolitical strategies observed in these times, giving it added value in this month of communion and sharing," continued the French-Swiss expert.
According to him, this solidarity gesture is set as an example by HM the King himself, who has decided to personally bear a large part of this aid, noting that Morocco is the first country to have obtained the possibility of delivering its humanitarian aid through a unique land route.
He further stated that "the action taken by His Majesty the King is exemplary because it fits perfectly into the humanistic approach of a Sovereign for whom action must be revealing of political thought."
The Moroccan Sovereign, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, had given High Instructions to deploy a humanitarian operation of food aid, by land, intended for the Palestinian population of Gaza and Al-Quds.
This aid, coinciding with the beginning of the sacred month of Ramadan, aims to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian populations, especially their most vulnerable categories.
