On this occasion, Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, accompanied by Equipment and Water Minister Nizar Baraka, visited the pavilion set up at the Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali.
Comprising two areas of 150 m2 and 75m2 each, the Moroccan Pavilion will serve as a space dedicated primarily to creating a dynamic for exchanging and sharing experiences and best practices around the issue of water.
The Moroccan Pavilion will host thematic sessions and high-level panels on topical water-related issues such as financing, governance and unconventional water resources.
Akhannouch heads the official Moroccan delegation to the 10th World Water Forum, organized under the theme "Water for Shared Prosperity", which is expected to welcome some 30,000 participants from 172 countries.
The 10th World Water Forum kicked off on Monday in the presence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
The opening ceremony was marked by the presentation of the Hassan II Great World Water Prize, now in its 8th year, to the Rome-based Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in recognition of its commitment to the global water and food security agenda.
The Hassan II Great World Water Prize is awarded every three years on the occasion of each edition of the Forum to reward the initiators of projects that have made a significant contribution to the development and use of water resources, at scientific, economic, technical, environmental, social, institutional, cultural or political levels.
