In her opening address, Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb highlighted the main actions carried out in 2023 for children without parental care, and the social projects carried out as part of the LMPE's strategic program, the League said in a press release.
On this occasion, Her Highness praised the unwavering commitment and constant mobilization of all League members to strengthen protection mechanisms for children deprived of their family environment and improve their care conditions.
Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb also warmly thanked all the partners and donors who provide ongoing support for the League's various projects and programs.
At the end of general discussions, the members of the Assembly unanimously approved moral and financial reports, as well as the accounts for the year ending December 31, 2023 and the related resolutions, according to the same source.
At the close of the meeting, a series of resolutions and recommendations were adopted. These included approval of the League's draft budget for the 2024 financial year, adoption of the 2024-2025 action program, and approval of the agreements signed between the League and its partners.
These resolutions and recommendations also included the unification of financial and accounting management procedures for various host structures on a regional scale, the organization of ongoing training sessions to develop the professional skills of the League's staff, the development of the LMPE's financial resources and the rationalization of expenditure, in line with the objectives defined.
His Highness then chaired the Extraordinary General Assembly, devoted to examining the amendment of the League's general statutes.
Following unanimous approval of the resolution to set up LMPE regional coordinations in different parts of the Kingdom, the General Assembly concluded with the reading of a message of loyalty addressed by the participants to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
The year 2023 was marked by the creation of new hosting centers in Oujda, Tangier, M'diq, El Jadida and Ouarzazate, as well as the continuation of construction and redevelopment works on other centers in Casablanca, Tangier, Nador, Agadir, Tit Mellil, Guelmim and Taroudant, in accordance with the High Royal Instructions, with the aim of extending social protection and safeguarding the fundamental rights of children in vulnerable situations, the press release added.
