This honor was awarded to Loudaya on Thursday in recognition of "her active role in strengthening and consolidating relations between the two countries", since her appointment to the country in 2016.
Loudaya received the prestigious medal from SCP President, Marta Blanco de Lemos, at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Francisco de Paula Santander Museum, in the presence of several Colombian personalities, including the Minister of Information Technology and Communications, Mauricio Lizcano.
At the ceremony, marked by the intonation of Morocco's national anthem by the National Police of Colombia's band, Loudaya said the award was a strong recognition of the Kingdom's role as a key player, not only at regional and continental level, but also globally, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Expressing her gratitude to the organizers for the honor bestowed on Morocco through the person of its representative in Colombia, Loudaya underlined the Kingdom's commitment to the "dynamic promotion of South-South cooperation," as well as the role played by the Kingdom in "bringing Africa and the Arab world closer to Latin America."
For his part, Gustavo Casasbuenas, SCP’s Executive President, praised Loudaya's "remarkable contribution to the development of bilateral relations" in all areas, adding that the award was a tribute to the laudable efforts made by the Moroccan Embassy in Colombia to promote the unwavering friendship and mutual understanding between the Moroccan and Colombian peoples.
