In a statement to MAP, Lagrini explained that the messages contained in the Royal Speech are not only aimed at players, institutions and various stakeholders in the water sector, but also contain an explicit appeal to citizens to adopt responsible behavior in favor of rationalizing the use of this vital material.
The professor at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech also underlined HM the King's call to take all necessary urgent measures to implement the components of the National Drinking Water Supply and Irrigation Program.
Lagrini pointed out that the Royal Speech also calls for the continued modernization of national policy mechanisms in this field, through the continued construction of dams, the acceleration of the pace of major projects, notably as part of the strategy of transferring water between hydraulic basins to establish regional justice in this area, while ensuring the acceleration of the construction of seawater desalination plants.
