In a statement to MAP in reaction to the Royal Speech on the 25th anniversary of the Throne Day, Beniguene underscored the important steps taken by the Kingdom in terms of supply and management of water resources, noting that these advances will be further reinforced by the major projects announced to address water shortages resulting from drought and climate change.
The expert particularly highlighted the major water transfer project between Morocco's hydrological basins, noting that the Kingdom has made significant progress in using seawater desalination technologies.
He noted that the Royal Speech emphasized the need to encourage innovation in water management and to leverage new related technologies, highlighting the growth of renewable energy in the water sector over the previous decades.
These renewable energies have significantly contributed to reducing costs, streamlining production and preserving groundwater, said the expert.
