This is an opportunity for the pardoned individuals to reintegrate into the local community and contribute to the economic development of their country, Lamrabti stated in a declaration to MAP, affirming that this magnanimous gesture embodies the values of tolerance and compassion, which are fundamental pillars of the reign of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In a similar statement, Mohamed Abakoy, president of the Tamount Association for Culture, Social Activities, Tourism, Environment, and Marine Development in Al Hoceima, noted that the families of the detainees as well as all the inhabitants of the province expressed their great joy for this generous Royal initiative.
This Royal Pardon, he added, demonstrates great wisdom in resolving complex issues related to social and economic justice, explaining that it is about integrating the cultivators into the development process initiated in their region, while allowing them to improve their living conditions.
For his part, Hassan El Hajjaji, president of the "Ayouma" Association for Education and Recreation in Al Hoceima, noted that this Royal Decision, with its social and economic aspects, is a historic moment for the northern region, which in recent years has embarked on an unprecedented development process, similar to other regions of the Kingdom.
The Royal Pardon also illustrates the Kingdom's continuous will to establish a climate of trust and encourage active and meaningful participation from everyone in building the country's future, he said.
Similarly, Souad Kharbouch Raissouni, president of the "Roa" Association for Social Development in Al Hoceima, highlighted that the civil society of the province highly commends this noble Royal Initiative, which reflects a great sense of humanism and deep compassion towards the youth of the region.
This Initiative will allow the reintegration of the concerned individuals into the development process initiated in the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, she added.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the King and People's Revolution, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, graciously granted His Pardon to 4,831 individuals who were convicted, prosecuted, or sought in cases related to cannabis cultivation, who met the required conditions to benefit from the Pardon.
