At the close of its 40th session, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League with the participation of Justice Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi, the Council endorsed the call for a regional forum, to be held in cooperation with the League and its regional and international partners, to discuss institutional and legal mechanisms in support of terrorism victims. The Council also praised Morocco's planned hosting of the event.
The Council also welcomed the call to regulate parallel financial investigation in cases of financial crime, through training sessions and regional fora in this area, given the importance of such investigations for the confiscation of proceeds and profits derived from this type of criminal activity. It also praised the Kingdom's call to hold a workshop in 2024 on the management of funds seized or confiscated in the context of money laundering and funding terrorism.
In addition, it hailed Marrakech's organization of an international conference on regulating the use of artificial intelligence in 2025, and urged Arab countries to participate.
On this occasion, Morocco was also re-elected as a member of the Executive Board of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice. Additionally, Director of Civil Affairs and Legal and Judicial Professions at the Ministry of Justice Rachid Ouadifi was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research.
