Upon their arrival, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum reviewed a detachment of the Auxiliary Forces that made the honors, before being greeted by Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, Minister of National Territory Planning, Land Planning, Housing and City Policy, Fatima-Ezzahra El Mansouri, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, and Minister of Culture, Youth and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum were also greeted by the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Governor of the Marrakech Prefecture, Farid Chourak, President of the Marrakech-Safi region, Samir Goudar, President of Marrakech’s Council of Prefecture, Jamila Afif, and the President of the Mechouar-Kasbah Communal Council, Abderrahmane Ouafa.
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum were also greeted by the Delegate Vice-President of the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation, Faïçal Laraïchi, Advisor to the President of the Foundation, Mélita Toscan Du Plantier, the Festival’s Artistic Director, Rémi Bonhomme, the Financial Advisor to the President within the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation, Azeddine Benmoussa, the General Treasurer, Saad Imani, the Festival's General Secretary, Fadwa Megzari, the Festival's Financial Director, Naoufal Bensouda, and the Festival's General Coordinator, Ali Hajji.
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum then moved to the Hall of Honor, where Their Royal Highnesses were introduced to the jury for the 21st Marrakech International Film Festival, the Festival's foreign guest stars, and foreign and national partners.
Held under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the 21st Marrakech International Film Festival opened on Friday at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, in the presence of eminent figures and personalities from the spheres of cinema, art, culture and the media.
