This large-scale event also fosters promoting bilateral ties between the two countries in various sectors in a context of global free-trade challenges, Rocha stated at the opening of the Morocco-Portugal economic meeting, held under the theme “Portugal-Morocco: Building the future in partnership”.
Furthermore, this is an occasion for the two nations to showcase their organizational and logistical skills, he continued, noting that the success of this 24th edition will depend on their ability to effectively coordinate all aspects of the event.
For his part, Karim Amor, co-president of the Morocco-Portugal Economic Council, emphasized the synergies of the two countries, particularly in the automotive, aeronautics and infrastructure sectors.
He also highlighted the dynamic collaboration between companies from both countries, with over 200 Portuguese companies represented in Morocco.
Initiated by Portugal's Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (AICEP), in partnership with the Moroccan General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM) and the Portuguese Confederation of Companies (CIP), this one-day event featured a panel discussion on investment and partnership opportunities in the infrastructure and construction, mobility, transport and telecommunications sectors, as well as B2B meeting sessions.
