Speaking at a joint press briefing in Rabat alongside Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita following the 6th session of the Morocco-Yemen Joint Commission, Al-Zindani commended HM King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan government, and its people for their unwavering backing of Yemen’s territorial integrity and its legitimate government.
The 6th session of the Morocco-Yemen Joint Commission, Al-Zindani noted, reflects the commitment of HM King Mohammed VI and Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi to elevate bilateral relations through closer coordination and strategic cooperation.
He also noted that his talks with Bourita provided an opportunity to examine key developments in the Arab region and their repercussions on the Yemeni crisis. The talks also addressed the situations in Lebanon and Syria, as well as Houthi escalation in the Red Sea, which threatens maritime navigation, regional peace, and international stability.
The meeting further reviewed the Yemeni government's efforts, in collaboration with regional and international partners, to end the conflict and achieve a comprehensive political solution. Al-Zindani stressed that any resolution must serve the interests of the Yemeni people, rejecting force, intimidation, or exclusion and emphasizing the ballot box as the foundation for any political process.
