Launched during the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, this prize reflects Morocco’s special dedication, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, to ensuring road safety and protecting lives, the ministers emphasized in press statements following their meetings with the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh.
Guinea’s Minister of Transport, Ousmane Gaoul Diallo, stressed that through this prize, Morocco demonstrates a firm commitment to safeguarding the lives of road users in Africa.
He further noted that the award serves as an invitation for world leaders to draw inspiration from this model and to prioritize the protection of road users' lives and health.
For his part, Alva Browne, Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Infrastructure and Physical Development, Public Utilities, Civil Aviation and Transportation of Grenada, expressed his gratitude to the Sovereign for establishing the Prize, praising it as a highly commendable initiative.
"It's a significant contribution to efforts aimed at improving road safety worldwide and saving the lives of more road users," he noted.
Similarly, Uganda’s Minister of Public Works and Transport, Edward Katumba-Wamala, praised the commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to protecting human lives. "This prize encourages us to spare no effort in protecting the lives of road users."
