According to a press release from the General Staff of Royal Armed Forces (FAR), several allied nations, in addition to representatives from the FAR and the United States Armed Forces, are participating in this meeting to finalize the preparations for the various activities scheduled in this edition’s program.
These activities include training in several operational fields, planning exercises for participating officers, as well as Nuclear, Radiological, Biological and Chemical decontamination drills, in addition to joint maneuvers, according to the same source.
The 21st African Lion exercise will also feature humanitarian and social initiatives on the side.
Scheduled to take place on May 12-23, 2025, in the regions of Agadir, Tan-Tan, Tiznit, Kenitra, Benguerir, and Tifnit, the African Lion 2025 exercise aims to strengthen military cooperation between Morocco and the United States, enhance interoperability, and improve intervention capabilities in a multinational context, thereby contributing to the promotion of security, peace, and stability in the region, according to the press release.
