According to a security source, the individual was arrested upon arrival aboard a flight from Istanbul airport, adding that a check against the Interpol database revealed that the suspect was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Dutch judicial authorities, for his alleged involvement in a case linked to the possession and trafficking of firearms.

The suspect was taken into custody as part of the extradition procedure, the same source notes, stating that the Dutch judicial authorities have been notified of this arrest, pending dispatch of the extradition file.
