The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Moroccan minister's participation in the global ministerial dialogue on science diplomacy, held on Wednesday at UNESCO. The talks tackled bilateral cooperation on higher education and scientific research. 

Key topics included the progress of the bilateral cooperation agreement signed during French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Morocco last October. The two parties also discussed technical support for Morocco's university reform, by following-up the implementation of a dedicated information system for this initiative. 

At the time, Morocco and France had signed an agreement covering university training, scientific cooperation and governance cooperation.
