Presented by Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriate, Nasser Bourita, this agreement is part of the development of friendly relations between Morocco and Malawi based on mutual benefit, said Government Spokesman Mustapha Baitas during a press briefing following the government council meeting.

The text also attests to the strength of the relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to strengthening legal and judicial cooperation, he added.  

Baitas further emphasized that the agreement aims to consolidate the legal foundations for fostering mutual judicial assistance in criminal matters, in accordance with the national laws and regulations of each party, while considering the principles recognized in international law.
