Speaking at the opening of an international forum on the future of the Mediterranean, organized on the occasion of Spain's presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PA-UfM), Armengol praised the exemplary cooperation between Morocco and Spain in managing migration flows and circular migration.
The agreements between the two Kingdoms regarding circular migration are a "model of mutually beneficial partnership" at the regional level, she emphasized, noting that the circular migration program benefits approximately 15,000 Moroccan female workers each year, allowing them to work in Spain for several months before returning to their home country.
This is a "model that embodies the excellence of Moroccan-Spanish cooperation relations," she noted, highlighting that the discussion of migration movements in the Mediterranean region during this forum reflects the geostrategic importance of the Mediterranean.
