Number 7 seed Luciano Darderi booked his place in the final following his semi-final victory over Spanish tennis player Roberto Carballes Baena, the tournament's fifth seed, in two sets (3-6, 2-6).

For his part, Tallon Griekspoor, seeded number 1, secured his ticket to the final with a 5-7, 6-7 victory over Poland's Kamil Majchrzak, a qualifier who has had a remarkable run in this year's tournament.

On Friday, the two finalists had respectively eliminated Czech Vít Kopřiva (5-7, 2-6) and Italian Mattia Bellucci (3-6, 4-6) in the quarter-finals.
