Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this edition stands out with a wide array of sector-specific conferences, innovative initiatives in the creative industries, and high-value networking forums.
Innovation, investment, and digital transformation are the key themes of this annual gathering, marking another step in Morocco’s positioning as a central hub for digital innovation in Africa.
The event now reflects the vision of a continent that no longer merely consumes technology, but seeks to design it, contribute to it, and shape its direction.
Driven by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, in partnership with the Digital Development Agency (ADD), the event aims to foster synergies among governments, investors, entrepreneurs, and digital leaders.
Unprecedented attendance is expected in this edition, with over 45,000 participants anticipated in Marrakech and 1,400 exhibitors from 130 countries.
Organized by Kaoun International, the international arm of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) responsible for all GITEX events worldwide, the gathering will host more than 650 government institutions, 350 investors, and 660 international speakers.
One of the major highlights of this edition will be the "Africa Future Connectivity" summit, an exclusive platform bringing together major players in telecoms, cloud computing, and data centers.
This summit will explore the impact of broadband, the rollout of 5G, and cloud technologies, while promoting public-private partnerships to shape the continent’s digital future.
Another major new feature is the Diaspora Studio, dedicated to connecting African talent worldwide by encouraging investment opportunities, cross-border partnerships and knowledge transfer.
This year, GITEX Africa Morocco also casts light on EdTech, AgriTech, HealthTech, and SportsTech—an approach that reinforces the ambition of making tech a lever for socio-economic transformation in Africa.
With renewed investment momentum, major global investors are now turning their focus to Africa. Investments in African startups have surpassed $2 billion, returning to pre-pandemic levels.
In this respect, the European Innovation Council (EIC), Europe’s largest deep-tech investor, is participating in GITEX AFRICA Morocco through its conference and workshop program.
Meanwhile, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank’s private sector arm, will spotlight ten African startups from its SheWins Africa program during this year’s GITEX edition.
Throughout the event, both African and international startups will be prominently featured.
Among the key highlights are the Supernova Challenge, the largest pan-African startup competition, judged by a panel of experts, as well as the Morocco 200 program.
There will also be a dedicated exhibition space for startups, designed as a meeting point for innovators, visitors, and investors.
