The surge underscores the country’s strengthening position as a year-round destination, buoyed by renewed momentum since the start of the year.
International visitors made up 2.1 million arrivals, while the Moroccan diaspora accounted for 1.9 million, reflecting the growing appeal and diversification of the Kingdom’s tourism offering.
March alone saw 1.4 million arrivals, up 17% year-on-year, despite coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan—traditionally a slower period for travel.
“These figures attest to the profound transformation of Morocco’s tourism sector, which has successfully reinvented itself to meet the expectations of increasingly discerning travelers,” said Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor in a press release.
The ministry attributes the performance to enhanced marketing, infrastructure upgrades, and expanded cultural and eco-tourism offerings aimed at attracting both traditional and emerging source markets.
