Speaking at an event titled “Morocco in the Spotlight: The Underside of Global Influence,” Bensaid outlined the Kingdom’s major development and reform projects, positioning Morocco as an emerging international player thanks to what he described as HM the King’s forward-looking vision.

Addressing students, academics, and members of the Moroccan diaspora, Bensaid stressed the role of younger generations in continuing the country’s trajectory of advancement, noting their growing contribution to Morocco’s global presence.

He pointed to preparations for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup as key investment opportunities, particularly for Moroccans abroad. He also highlighted the growing potential of cultural and creative industries—including music, film, theatre, and gaming—as a strategic economic sector.

One priority, the minister said, is the international export of Moroccan cultural products through festivals, exhibitions, and audiovisual production. He added that the government is rolling out a strategy to develop the gaming sector, where Moroccan youth are already gaining ground.

Bensaid also noted ongoing efforts to safeguard Moroccan heritage from foreign appropriation, citing legal reforms and public campaigns.

He also urged young Moroccans, both at home and abroad, to engage in political and civic life to defend the Kingdom’s democratic achievements and contribute to its future.
