“Under the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Our national strategy Digital Morocco 2030 is clear and structured, aimed at profoundly transforming the Kingdom's digital ecosystem,” stressed the minister at the opening session, marked by the presence of national and international investors, representatives of government institutions, speakers and personalities from various backgrounds.
She pointed out that this strategy rests on two strategic pillars, namely the digitalization of public services, bringing the administration closer to citizens and businesses through more efficient, transparent, and accessible services and the dynamisation of the digital economy, supporting entrepreneurship, stimulating innovation, and creating value-added jobs.
“But we are not building this transformation on vision alone. We are catalyzing it with action,” she added.
Speaking on the 3rd edition of GITEX Africa, she said that this technological and entrepreneurial event, now the biggest on the continent, underlines the growing importance of the digital economy, which today accounts for 15% of global GDP, or around $6,500 billion.
Aware of the importance of this digital revolution, the Kingdom is taking an active part in laying the foundations for a future where digitalization, and through it AI, will benefit everyone, Seghrouchni stressed.
“At GITEX Africa, nearly 40% of all startups present are integrating artificial intelligence into their core products and services,” she maintained, noting that this figure reflects a deeper shift and a transformation in the very architecture of innovation.
The opening ceremony of the 3rd GITEX Africa Morocco, placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, was marked by a pre-recorded video address from the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, and the presence of members of the government, national and international investors, representatives of government institutions, speakers and personalities from various backgrounds.
