Speaking at the opening of the third GITEX Africa Morocco, Melyani noted that the strong turnout for the 2025 edition—now one of the leading technology events on both the African and international stages, with 45,000 participants and more than 1,400 exhibitors from over 130 countries—demonstrates Morocco’s appeal as a land of opportunity in the digital sector.
He emphasized that the event provides an ideal platform to highlight the tireless efforts made by all stakeholders—including government ministries, public institutions, and private-sector actors—in advancing digital transformation. The gathering also facilitates the sharing of achievements, the discovery of international best practices, and the exploration of new markets.
Melyani stressed that GITEX Africa Morocco has evolved beyond a showcase for innovation into a strategic space for fostering digital integration among African nations, building bridges of cooperation with international partners, and accelerating the pace of sustainable digital transformation.
"This clearly reflects our firm ambition and strong commitment to an inclusive digital transition and to fostering a new digital culture, one that prioritizes improved governance, a strengthened entrepreneurial fabric, and a digitally advanced, competitive economy," he said.
He also highlighted that this third edition of GITEX Africa Morocco addresses a range of relevant and strategic themes that mirror the continent’s ongoing digital transformation and its future directions. The event also serves as a collective space for reflection on how to fast-track digital development in the face of major upcoming challenges.
